Cultivating coffee stands as one of the ways in which Kuwasha will generate revenue for funding the Kibaale Health Centre and other community initiatives within the Kibaale community.

Our Coffee initiative serves a dual purpose: to establish a sustainable revenue stream and to create various employment opportunities within the Kibaale community. Currently employing 65 individuals, we've since 2021 planted 13,000 seedlings, with an additional 40,000 ready to be planted in the next two years.

In 2020, a group of forward-thinking donors came together, contributing $10,000 each to enable the purchase of the coffee land by Kibaale Community Centre. With now over 100+ Coffee Members, Kuwasha owns 5 farms encompassing 160 acres of growing land.

We anticipate that each $10,000 pledge will yield a return of approximately $5,000 per year in perpetuity, ensuring sustained support for the Kibaale community. As we eagerly await the fruition of our coffee plants, our fast-growing group of entrepreneurial donors meet quarterly to stay connected and plan for the future.
